MIGUEL GÓMEZ  Y MOLINA CREATIONS // “DOORS TO MISTERY”

Looking at Miguel Gómez's paintings and drawings,

We easily discovered that is not a language that reflects the daily thing, the conventional. The information exceeds the logical mind. The prominent figures and scenes tell tales out of the reality, They are descriptions that do not fit to the temporary or the historical time and questions come :

What`s this ... is it a psychoanalysis ... is it an exorcism ... are they visions ... dreams ... astral trips ...? Wherefrom comes all that?

It is possible that it is everything previous and more, but abstracting us of this initial confusion, leting the curious soul without prejudice and childish, penetrate in the pictures one can discover that these are other worlds, that they are another reality or they are different ways of perceiving reality. Miguel's pictures are a full universe of diverse characters, with expressiveness, with breath of being, with own live granted by a creator who also provides them with personality and individuality, all of them in conexion with the scene, with criterion and order, to weave the warp of a history in unusual spaces, where each one flies and moves depending on undefinable energies.

It is a whole evocative universe of constant suggestions. They are poems full of symbolic allusions, with a sweeping plasticity, with a fantastic and very particular zoology, capable of describing other worlds, other states of being. They compose histories wrapped in the mist and opening doors for the mystery.

There is a very reiterative topic in many of Miguel Gómez's pictures, they are his allusions to time. He uses profuse symbolic elements to which he provides with worrying mystery, as worrying is time itself: uncontrollable, slippery, abstract and concrete, so precise and irritating.

There is a phrase that Miguel writes in someone of these pictures - " time is mine " - sounding as loud scream with the energy of thunder and the property to produce a cavern, that shelters and isolates those confused souls of the buzz ,of the daily and alienating problem. A place where silence can be listened, where the feeling of abstraction is pure and the mind´s in rest.

NEVEREND-LAND EXISTS

The surrealism acquires in your work a dose of mystery and imagination that  moves the visitor to a world of fantasy a world of tales that made us dream more when we were children.

Castles, witches, animals and warriors talk about a fantastic time that you control up to the second  and which we can only feel. “El tiempo es mio”is much more than a title,is a policy, a principle. It means the acceptance that your work and an important part of your life are in perfect tunning. Probably, it is your more secret facet but also one of the most surprising for unexpected.

 The drawing and the color, even the lack of it, are controlled as well as  time and this capacity also surprises the one who dives into your works. Art is a way of difficult progress, but you make easy as if it was a game or a conversation. .

 There are in your work an endless number of secret messages, of songs and signs that as a labyrinth forces the visitor to navigate in it as  keys of your imagination, on  garlands and automatic scrawls up to finding a paradise that has much to do with your own life, or rather with your way of seeing and living through a life that confirms that never-end land really exists.
